These photos chronicle a trip to Bangka, Indonesia, with my family. It would be my first time visiting the place of my father's childhood.

Here are images from a place a parent, once a child himself (sometimes we forget), once called home. Here are characters from different periods of his life gathered into an anachronistic tangle, inhabiting the corners of home in that child’s absence. For one reason or another, the trip felt significant. I leave the images here to rest.
