Other Things is an installation of paper cutouts. In it, personal reflections are written on silk paper and then cut out. I wanted to find a way to still bring words into the world, but in a gentler and more perishable form – as a way of still speaking, while also leaving necessary room for vulnerability and doubt.

First conceptualised for Fujinoyama Biennale, Light Gets In thinks through Mt. Fuji for its symbolic and geographic weight. Created amidst lockdowns, the work is scored as a relay of 3 prompts across 2 countries, and is an exercise in framing hugeness in small, human-scale gestures.

[i carry is a performance-installation that reacts to lift movements in an urban area, over a 24-hour cycle. Lift movements are taken as analogue for daily activity, and the work considers the hidden labours that support our routine. In framing the lifts as literal and metaphorical carriages, I wanted to ask: who or what carries us, and who or what do we carry in return?
